Imlichoko Tamarind Chigali

Tamarind is known as ‘Date of India’.Tamarind is a fruit with a distinctive an unusual
sour taste which makes you change your facial expression every time you take a bite.
Tamarind offers excellent nutrition value. This delicious pod-like fruit is a nutritional
powerhouse with an abundance of health benefits.
Its medicinal properties are numerous and were traditionally recognized long before
scientific studies and research were conducted . With our Modern life style people
eat junk foods that are loaded with carbohydrates and calories. We did a lot of
ground work on this fruit with our traditional practices. We developed a product with
name “imlichoko”, in our Uttar Karnataka language we call it as “Chigali”. It is
having an awesome taste with lots of Ayurvedic benefits. It is having a good shelf life
to store, i.e., as its time passes its taste increases.

As a matter of fact, there are references in the classical texts of Ayurveda mentioning that
regular intake of all the six tastes results into disease free life. Therefore this traditional
product prepared out of all the six tastes is an excellent health remedy. Based on the
seasonal variations if the six tastes are consumed with respect to climatic changes it
helps in balancing the normalcy of humors and thereby resulting into good health. The
ingredients of this product has all the tastes in compound form which helps in the
digestion, metabolism and thereby boost immunity. The imli is known for its anti oxidant
property and the Vit C present in it boosts immunity . Also, the digestive & carminative
ingredients like cumin, ginger, jaggery etc aids in digestion, assimilation & absorption.
